Best Day to Send Email? 29 August 2007

According to a survey conducted by eROI Inc, high-level
executives read most of their email messages on Mondays
and Tuesdays. And the best time to send messages on those days? During the lunch hour.

    According to Drayton Bird (it was a phone call and can’t remember the source) some research in the US (this was about 2 years ago though) suggested that Tuesday, 8:30AM was the best sending time so it’s received before 9AM and near the top when the recipient first opens their email.

    That concurs with some research I read recently. Still, if you have international clients/customers/subscribers, then the timing can get quite tricky. 🙂

    I suppose that is where sophisticated email software can come in handy.
